Susana’s writing, speaking, and coaching come from a passion and belief that her purpose is helping people achieve their dreams and discover and live in their purpose. She firmly believes that when a person is living in their purpose and calling in life, they are living their best life. She knows this from her own experience.

Her books are written out of her deep compassion for teens and young adults who are at stressful junctures in their lives where they are required to make grownup decisions that will impact their lives, that they do not yet feel equipped to make. She writes from her own painful life experiences, hoping those who read her books will not make the same mistakes for lack of direction, knowledge, and help.

 

 

Her goal is to reach and help as many high school and college students as possible to relieve their anxiety and stress. She desires to be the helping hand, she wishes she could have had - to help someone cross the bridge not only from high school or college to a fulfilling career but to anyone who does not know what to do with their lives, Adults and parents often tell her that they wish there would have been a book like this when they were in high school to help them plan out their futures. Teachers call her book a tool in the arsenal to help students map their futures.

Susana Hernández has worked as a volunteer with a non-profit servicing students since 1998. In 2000 she began presenting workshops for high school students at education and career conferences on entrepreneurship and developed a personal development workshop entitled, What Color Are Your Wings?: Three Keys to Choosing Your Education and Career, where she taught students who needed guidance with education and career advice through her proprietary 3-step formula for education and career success.

Susana loves to learn. She graduated from California State University Los Angeles and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and a Master of Science in Public Administration. She also studied graphic design and taught herself how to develop, start, and run two businesses. She published her new book, Keys to Success for High School and College Students in July 2023 and is currently working on her second book Keys to Success for Christian High School and College Students, which she plans to publish in 2023, filled with scriptures, prayers, and encouragement. As Susana says, “Our Christian kids need help and guidance too in making life decisions.”

Susana serves as an ordained minister at her church Hope Unlimited in Monrovia, California. She resides in Los Angeles, California with her husband and dog Coco. They have three grown children and 9 grandchildren, which she says keep her on her knees.
